To me, glass is a medium of liberty; the way I approach my work and the look I seek to impart to the medium bear this out. The malleability of the material allows me to produce geometric and organic shapes. Although working with glass involves numerous limitations, these can often be overcome, allowing myself to evolve with the medium and vice versa. Transparent, opaque, smooth or textured, glass is transformed, changing colour and shape to reflect my ideas and feelings while remaining true to itself.
It is the shapes and colours that I observe while diving which I aspire to transpose through the blown glass work that I create. Diving and blowing glass have many common grounds and demand the respect of the rules and the calm necessary to success. Both of those actions are pushing my limites ever further in search for new shapes and surprising discoveries.
